Twist & Shout

May 3rd, 2008 at 09:05 pm

Thursday afternoon I fell down the steps on the side of the house. Poooh! I did twist and I did shout. Uggh! Hubster went by my niece's house and borrowed a foot brace which allows me to hobble around enough to get to the bathroom!

I mentioned in my last blog post that the frig went kaput. Hubster is out shopping for us one right now. He just called on the phone. We are attempting to be wise shoppers and getting the bottom of the line! I think we'll get out with a new machine right at $500. Does stainless keep the food colder? I don't think so.

Putting it on the CC which will be paid off next month. This one will be Energy Star rated at $43 a year to operate.

We just purchased a new freezer last month. We have one of those things pictured above. It was so expensive, we kept it and used it more than once. With three daughters who were always playing sports or cheerleading, it was bound to be needed. We still have a pair of crutches too that we just loaned to a friend who sprained his ankle!

Yeah, Homebody, this is not the first time I've had to borrow it.

Thanks everyone! I am staying home from church this morning. I took a shower and put a pan of brownies in the oven and new potatoes are boiling on the stove. Ribs are in the crockpot w/bbq sauce. When folks get home they'll cook some mixed veggies and we're calling her lunch. For now I'm sitting here w/the leg propped up and an ice bag on. In a minute I'm heading back for the couch. Hobble. Hobble. Big Grin

Oh, and the Hubster bought a nice refrigerator last night and the guy delivered it on his way home. So that's up and going. Cost for a plain jane refrigerator, no ice maker, etc. delivered w/tax $532.24.
