I am decidely not a coffee snob. I paid $1.00 a brick for the last coffee I bought and I bought all the scratch n' dent store had on hand that day! Hot and brown and I'm okay as long as there's loads of sugar & creamer on hand to dull it.
I also agree with Tina!!

*evil tina grins and chuckles!*
as for coffee: folgers actually isn't bad at all as long as it's a medium roast. their light is way light, the french is WAY dark... and 8 o'clock coffee is the best grocery store coffee around (but it may just be a southern thing). and maxwell house? well, to me it just tastes like shredded wheat. don't get me wrong, i like shredded wheat, just not liquid and hot!

The few times I make a pot of drip Mr.Coffee coffee for snobs this cheap trick works well also. For every 7 scoops of grocery store coffee in the basket, put 1 scoop of the fancy stuff. Doesn't quite make it taste completely like the fancy stuff, but it won't taste like the grocery store coffee either. And the snobs won't figure it out.
